and we were…

in a flash we were here:
(tangled limbs and overlapping lips)
broken, sometimes, under the weight of us,
of this thing that’s always been.

in one eternal moment we were born,
sprung from the silence,
sprung from the mind of some half-crazed deity,
sprung full formed and wanting,
craving.

so give me this:
this moment in the full light of morning,
this day that I didn’t have to bargain for or beg for or pilfer.

I have changed the way the air flows around my body in the wind for you,
I have become a web of connections with you in every center:
you the nucleus,
you the tilting angle of my trebuchet.

you, you.
